The Ultimate Lightweight Backup for Your Backpack!
This mini umbrella is an absolute lifesaver to keep tucked away for unexpected weather. It is incredibly sturdy and compact, weighing only 6 ounces, making it the perfect size for bookbags, purses, or even a jacket pocket. You barely notice you're carrying it, yet it's right there when you need it.Even with its micro-sized body, the canopy opens up manually to a generous 43 inches, providing great coverage to keep you dry in light rain and gentle breezes. On top of that, it has an upgraded titanium silver coating that offers UPF 50+ sun protection, blocking 99% of harmful UV rays and reflecting heat on hot days. It is built with flexible carbon fiber ribs and a smooth aluminum shaft, giving it a surprisingly solid feel for such a tiny travel umbrella. While the lightweight, 6-rib structure isn't designed to battle heavy windstorms, it is the absolute perfect everyday essential for school, travel, and unexpected showers.

Great
This travel umbrella is designed with portability as the main focus, making it a convenient item to keep in a bag or vehicle. The compact size and lightweight carbon fiber construction are especially appealing for travelers who want protection without carrying a bulky umbrella. I like that it includes UPF 50+ sun protection because it can be useful for sunny conditions as well as unexpected rain. The silver coating is intended to help reflect sunlight and provide additional coverage during outdoor use. At only around six ounces, it should be easy to carry daily without adding noticeable weight to a purse or backpack. Its small folded size makes it a practical backup accessory for commuting, vacations, and outdoor events. Overall, this G4Free mini travel umbrella is a good value for the money.

Very lightweight - great for on the go.
An affordable, very lightweight, and highly portable umbrella. It’s compact enough to fit easily in a purse or bag, and it will mostly fit in a typical men’s pocket, which tends to be deeper than women’s pockets. This is not an automatic umbrella. You have to press the button to release the latch and then manually push the umbrella upward to fully extend it, but works well enough it's easy to use. The size is perfectly adequate for one person, although it would be a bit of a struggle to keep two people covered. The blackout canopy does a great job of blocking sunlight, making it useful as a sun umbrella as well as for rain. The overall quality seems good, and we’ve already used it in the rain without any issues. I can’t speak to how well it handles strong winds yet, though. Many cheaper umbrellas have a tendency to turn inside out in windy conditions. If we get a chance to test it in stronger winds, I’ll update this review with how it holds up.

Easy to Carry; Makes it Easier to Use
This ultra-lightweight manual umbrella works great for sun protection and is small enough to throw into a purse or daypack without adding noticeable weight or bulk. Mine weighs 6.3 ounces without the sleeve but that makes it more bulky since the sleeve is such a tight fit. The UPF 50+ coating blocks heat effectively as advertised, making it a handy daily companion for those of us trying to limit long term sun damage. It's possible to provide shade for two people during a walk depending on the angle of the sun and how you hold it.Because of its lightweight carbon fiber ribs, the structure is very flexible. It is fairly sensitive to breezes and inverts easily in moderate gusts, but the flexible materials pop right back into shape without breaking (so far). The handle is a small, flat disk, which is not the most comfortable for holding by hand over long periods. However, that low-profile shape makes it surprisingly easy to experiment with hands-free setups, such as securing it to a lightweight camping chair or rigging it to a travel backpack strap. While long-term durability remains to be seen, my initial trials are positive for anyone looking for a portable, packable UV shade tool for gentle weather.

Unbelievably lightweight sun and rain protection for your bag
If you're looking for an umbrella that you can carry every single day without feeling any extra weight, this carbon fiber model is pretty much unmatched. The UPF 50+ rating and black UV lining do an incredible job blocking out harsh sun and keeping you noticeably cooler while walking around outdoors. Despite packing down super small and weighing virtually nothing in a backpack, purse, or pocket, the 43-inch canopy still offers full, effective coverage. The carbon fiber ribs give it just enough flex to handle sudden wind gusts without snapping or bending out of shape. It's the ultimate everyday carry umbrella for unpredictable weather, outdoor events, or traveling light. You barely notice it's in your pack until you need it!

Incredibly Lightweight Sun Shield with Serious Portability ☀️
I've been carrying this G4Free mini umbrella around in my everyday bag for a few weeks now, and the weight difference compared to standard travel umbrellas is night and day. At around 4 ounces, it genuinely the material it is made of feels like carrying almost nothing at all.The UPF 50+ silver-coated canopy is the standout feature for me. It noticeably cuts down the heat when walking in direct sunlight during mid-day heat waves, making a huge difference on long outdoor walks. Despite its super slim profile when folded, opening it reveals a surprisingly generous 43-inch arc that provides ample shade for one person without feeling cramped. For anyone wondering about durability, the carbon fiber ribs and shaft feel remarkably flexible and resilient for how dainty they look. It pops open and closes smoothly by hand, though you do have to manually latch and reset it since it isn't an auto-open button setup. If there is one small compromise, it's that the featherweight build isn't meant for heavy rainstorms or howling winds. In strong gusts, the lightweight frame will flex quite a bit, so I wouldn't rely on it as a primary heavy-weather rain umbrella. However, for UV protection, light unexpected drizzles, and extreme packability in a purse or back pocket, it is top-tier! 👍

Best Umbrella for Travel and Sun Protection
OMG tried so many sun umbrellas. This one was the best lightweight, sun protection, rain protection and travel umbrella I found on Amazon. It weighs nothing! You won't notice it in your bag or pocket. I held it up to the sun and the double layers absolutely protect you, sun or rain. Reflective material on top completely keeps you cool about a 20 deg difference! It won't hold up well in high winds, but it is not a $50+ heavy umbrella. If you want an automatic open or close this isn't it; thought I that was an absoute requirement; but the compact size and weight make up for that. It is a manual open and close; but wasn't an issue as long as you push it to the top and it clicks, will stay open without any issues. To close, push a spot (locking mechanism) on the stem of the umbrella to release the ribs, then place on ground (or use both hands) to push the top of the umbrella until it compacts and locks. You cannot see through the umbrella when holding up to sun. Shade will cover your face, shoulders and upper body. Yes, the stem is skinny and it doesn't have an auto close, it is also not a $50+ sun umbrella; but does the same at a bargin price. Strap is long enough to compact it to it's very skinny size, plus there is a sleeve that it slides into as long as you tighten the stap.Walked all day in Europe with this in a side pocket during travel as it weighs nothing! Never thought about it until I was in light rain or standiing in the sun in the unbearable heat and this was truly a lifesaver!
Stay protected in style with our Titanium Silver 8 Ribs Pocket Mini Umbrella. Its 8 titanium silver ribs provide maximum durability and windproof protection, while its fully automatic 3 folding design makes it perfect for on-the-go use. With UPF protection and a variety of colors, this is the ultimate luxury umbrella for men, women, and children.

Compact, nice colors
I have had these umbrellas before and they are very useful for storing away for a rainy day. Good size for glove compartments or behind seats. Can be left anywhere convenient. The trade-off for the folded size is not so much the coverage area, which is pretty good for any compact umbrella, but the hardiness of the mechanical components. Everything is just a little thinner holding up the top. It does seem to be able to snap back if the wind blows it out of shape, but the center pole is a little thin, for me. The colors and plasticky material are pretty neat, very modern. It reminds me of a style from the mid 60s called "Mod." The only ding I give it is where you hold it with your hand there is nothing secure or comfortable. It's only the little disc the umbrella spines nest in, there is nothing you could call a handle.

Great UV protection. Total blocking
This UV umbrella does a great job of blocking the sun! The silver reflective material really helps keep the sun off, and I was impressed by how much shade and protection it provides. It’s also surprisingly compact when folded, so it’s easy to carry around and doesn’t take up much space. It has a plastic feel, which isn’t terrible, but my other UV umbrella from Japan is a UV fabric and feels nicer. My only complaint is that I wish the handle was a little longer. It can feel slightly short when you’re holding it for an extended period or trying to share it with another. Overall, though, this is a great little umbrella for sunny days and fits perfectly in my car door pocket to keep it handy.

Extremely Lightweight and Great for Sun Protection
This mini travel umbrella is incredibly lightweight and compact, making it very easy to carry in a purse, backpack, or travel bag. At only 4 ounces, it adds almost no weight, which is especially convenient when traveling or walking around all day.The 43-inch coverage is impressive for such a small umbrella, and the silver coating provides good protection from the sun. I like that it offers UPF 50+ protection, making it useful not only for rainy weather but also for sunny days when I need some shade. The main thing to keep in mind is that it is very lightweight and feels somewhat fragile. Because of this, I would recommend using it with extreme care in windy conditions. Strong gusts could potentially damage or turn the umbrella inside out, so I wouldn’t choose this as a heavy-duty wind umbrella. For calm or moderately sunny weather, though, it’s a very convenient option. The slim design makes it easy to keep with me wherever I go, and the lightweight construction is a major advantage when portability is the priority.

Super Lightweight and Compact
This umbrella is extremely lightweight and compact, which makes it perfect for keeping in a backpack, purse, or car. It provides surprisingly good coverage considering how small it folds down. It’s easy to open and close, and the lightweight construction makes it very convenient for travel. It works well for sun as its cover is thick and have reflective surface. My only complaint is that I wish it had a proper handle. It would make the umbrella more comfortable to hold, especially for longer periods.Overall, Its portable and practical. A handle would have made it even better.

Ultra-Light Sun Umbrella That's Perfect for Travel
If you're looking for a lightweight umbrella specifically for sun protection, this is a great option. It weighs almost nothing, making it easy to toss into a purse, backpack, or carry-on without adding noticeable weight. The umbrella opens to provide enough coverage for an average-sized person, even though the shaft doesn't extend as far as a traditional umbrella. It also folds down quickly and easily, making it convenient to pack away when you're finished using it.The reflective silver coating does a good job of blocking the sun, making it a nice accessory for walking, sightseeing, outdoor events, or travel on hot, sunny days. Just keep in mind that this is designed as a UV sun umbrella, not a heavy-duty rain umbrella. If you're expecting protection from strong winds or downpours, you'll want something more substantial.Because it's so lightweight, it doesn't have the premium feel of a heavier umbrella, and the materials feel somewhat inexpensive. However, that's also part of what makes it so portable. For the price, I think it performs its intended purpose well.Overall, this is a compact, ultra-light UV umbrella that's easy to carry, provides good sun protection, and is ideal for travel or everyday use when you want relief from direct sunlight.

Rain rain go away.
This is a nice little umbrella to keep in your vehicle for those days unexpected rain comes from the sky. This umbrella operates smoothly and provides a decent sized canopy for one person. I feel this is a great option to have, just to have whether you carry a standard size umbrella or not because you never know if you'll have somebody else with you and they do not have an umbrella. This umbrella deploys quickly once removed from the storage bag you undo the strap and push a button and can stay dry. Returning the umbrella to storage is also easy you depress the pin on the side which folds the canopy and then you just collapse the rod and back in the bag it goes.I feel the quality of this umbrella is sufficient, the umbrella feels like a standard umbrella and in my opinion it should last quite a few rainy seasons. This umbrella is a bit flatter on the top and does not have a big dome like most full size umbrellas this is my first time with an umbrella with this design so I'm not sure what to think yet however I do feel having this flatter canopy is what allows wind to travel under the umbrella much more efficiently not creating an updraft.I feel the price of this item is great at, however I feel the only time this is relevant is when it is keeping you dry which at that time it would be a great bargain. Again I do feel this is a great price for this umbrella just to purchase to keep on hand in your EDC bag or glove box for those unexpected showers.
I ordered this mind-boggling umbrella for my smaller camping rucksack. Every inch and ounce of real estate counts in a rucksack. I need space for food and gadgets. Not that shelter and survival tools aren't necessities, but a smaller umbrella equals more bacon, beer, and power bricks. Priorities!Arriving in a small padded envelope, it was a mystery game of what could be so light yet firm. Amazon has some creative combined packaging skills. I assumed it was a bandanna wrapped around chopsticks. When I opened the package to find the umbrella, I was dumbfounded as to how an object this weightless could expand to over 3' in diameter. I've fallen victim to disproportionate product sizing photos before. It's nice to be wrong. This G4Free branded umbrella is a magical unicorn in a mystical forest! The umbrella indeed expands to over 36". The canopy is black on the interior and reflective silver on the exterior. The fabric is durable and taut, not the mylar-type thin wall I was expecting. The canopy is opened into full bloom by simply sliding the collar up the pole. It takes relative force to latch the collar into place. The canopy is tight as a drum. Compacting the umbrella requires pushing a latch release button inserted onto the collar. All operator mechanisms are thin, hinged metal compositions. The description states carbon steel, but it looks like titanium to me.This umbrella makes an outstanding addition to my smaller rucksack. As with any umbrella upswept by a wind gust, I assume it wouldn't stand up to a monsoon. I actually prefer it over my current arsenal of full-size umbrellas. The reflective side blasts the sun if used as a sunshade. The dark side would act as a heat wall within relative proximity of a small fire. Or, I could use it to trap a light breeze on a hot night in the tent. You may wonder why I would include an umbrella as an integral part of my camping gear. I have tarps and ponchos after all. The reason is that I stick the handle down the back of my shirt to hold it in place while gathering or chopping firewood. Both hands remain free, my glasses or headlamp doesn't fog, and the wood stays dry. Additionally, I can hook an umbrella handle through my backpack hanging loop to keep it dry while I set up shelter during storms.Quality is exceptional. Portability is outstanding.

Very lightweight which makes it a bit flimsy, but a great backup/emergency one!
This mini travel umbrella is a solid backup umbrella to have around! Very lightweight at about 6oz and opens to about 3 feet wide which is a decent coverage area. The handle is quite short at only about a foot and a half which takes a little getting used to. Says it is carbon fiber and aluminum construction. Holds up fine in decent rain although the lightweight build does make it feel a bit flimsy and I would not trust it in high winds. Not a heavy duty everyday umbrella but a great one to keep in the car or at work for any sudden rain. Overall a solid lightweight backup that does the job when you need it!

Lightweight and Perfect for Travel
This umbrella is incredibly lightweight and compact, making it easy to keep in my purse or travel bag without adding much bulk. The silver coating provides good coverage from the sun, and I like the UPF 50+ protection. It opens and closes easily and feels well made for its size. The only downside is that the smaller size doesn’t provide as much coverage as a full-size umbrella. Overall, a great little option for travel and everyday sun protection.

Impressively Light Thanks to the Carbon Fiber Frame
The carbon fiber frame is the real differentiator here compared to a standard mini umbrella — at only around 4 ounces, it's genuinely surprising how light this feels in hand or in a bag, without feeling flimsy or fragile in the process. UPF 50+ protection and the silver coating on the underside both do a solid job blocking sun, and it noticeably cuts down on heat compared to carrying no umbrella at all.At 43 inches, coverage is a touch more generous than the smallest travel umbrellas, without sacrificing much in the way of portability. The slim, compact folded profile slides easily into a bag side pocket, and it opens and closes smoothly without catching. As with most ultra-lightweight travel umbrellas, this is built primarily for sun and light rain rather than serious wind, so it's worth having a sturdier umbrella on hand for genuinely stormy weather.A great grab-and-go travel umbrella for anyone who prioritizes low weight and packability.

More compact than Uniqlo's travel umbrella!
Excellent umbrella to keep in your car or bag in UV-intensive environments. This umbrella truly is compact - it's a bit smaller all around compared to those standard 16-20oz plastic water/soda bottles, so should fit in any bottle pocket just fine. I'm intending this purely for UV/sun protection - I'm not sure how sturdy this would be on very windy or wet days. Good color too to reflect light.
