I bought this for someone who is hard to gift for. He loves gadgets and home decor. He already had a levitating moon and wanted this “earth” globe to add to the moon. Works well and looks great. Conversation piece for sure.

I ordered this because the kids (7M, 10F) and I love science. It’s something we can bond over, and this looked pretty cool. How (and if) it would actually work remained a mystery until I received it. Boy was it a fun surprise! It is just the coolest thing once you finish setting it up. The globe actually rotates and lights up while suspended in air!! And I haven’t even shown it to the kids yet. They are a little young (it is suggested for kids 12+), so I will supervise the whole thing.The remote comes already with a battery, just remove the plastic tag. There is almost nothing you have to do before simply using, other than plug it in.One big tip: I definitely suggest an adult taking time in advance to figure it out before letting the kids check it out. At first I wasn’t even sure it was working because it is perfectly silent and dark (I wish the base rim light came on when you plug it in! It only lights up when you are close to getting it right, but so does the globe!). It’s a bit of a puzzle - I won’t spoil the fun). I almost gave up too easily until I triple-checked the instructions and tried again. Resist the urge to have a second person help you. It WILL work, I promise!! Once the adult has the hang of it, take it apart, and supervise the kids while they do the same thing later.And actually it doesn’t even have to be for kids. I worked it out while hanging out with my dad (their grandfather), and we both had a blast! This will even be a fun night light (for me! lol). Love it!
This Magnetic Levitating LED Globe is a really cool gadget to have and display. I was impressed with the quality of the product and how simple it is once you have the right spot to levitate the globe. The included instructions show you how to levitate the globe and it takes a few tries to get the spot exactly right but once you do, it levitates light Magic. The base is very well made and the top is glass and gives off a cool lighting effect when turned on. The globe changes colors and you can control the base to be on or off, globe on or off or just one or the other to be lighted by just touching the round button on the front of the base. If the power goes out, the globe will automatically drop to the base and stay there because of the magnets inside the globe and base.Overall, I am very pleased with this levitating globe and this would make an excellent, unique gift for someone. The price is a great value considering how cool and unique this product is. If you are looking for a very fun, and interesting gift for someone, this is definitely something to consider.

Extremely difficult to find the "sweet spot" to get it to levitate due to having magnets on only one side of globe. I was unable to. Purchased unit with magnets on at least two sides and had it rotating in 15 seconds.
I gave this to my 50 year old son as one of his Christmas presents! He loved it. He liked that he could change its colors.
I love it if you can get ride of the center stripe 100% better yet
The globe is mesmerizing as it spins hanging in the air. The only thing I don't like is the bright line around the center.

This Reviewer gives this Magnetic Levitating Globe a resounding A+. It is definitely, as stated, "a cool Tech" product. There are many 'Pro' features for this product: (1) The globe surface displays an informative detailed world map that is (2) both beautiful and educational. (3) Not only does the globe hang unsupported in space, (4) it also rotates! This reviewer prefers the natural look, but (5) the globe can be made to glow in six different colors. (6) A remote control is included. I find only one 'Con' feature. My first time setup, even with the help of two family members, took about 20 minutes to get the globe to "float" in midair. You have to cradle it in your hands above the base until a slight pull of magnetic attraction is felt. If the globe is not positioned in the exact location above the base, when it is released, it will not levitate. It will fall "clunk" onto the table. Fortunately, the globe is of excellent quality and no damage results. A great feeling of relief occurs when this lovely depiction of the earth is floating and rotating in space. I can just sit and gaze at it for a long time. I get lost in awe and wonder, not only at this tech toy, but with higher thoughts about the real earth hanging in space. There it has orbited steadfast and unfailing for thousands of years like the Creator's Love for humankind. I wonder if I can give it a 10 Star Rating!
The Magnetic Levitating Globe is a really cool and unique piece! Our kids were so excited to see it floating in the air - it’s like magic. The color-changing lights are a nice touch and make it perfect as a night light in their room. They love watching it levitate and spin!The only challenge we had was getting it to levitate at first. It definitely takes some precision and patience. At one point, we thought it wasn’t working, but it turned out we just needed to get the placement exactly right. Once we figured it out, it worked beautifully.Overall, it’s a fascinating and eye-catching gadget that both kids and adults enjoy. A great combination of science, décor, and fun!
This is really cool! The light adds some magical fun to the room in the dark. It's nice and bright. The cord to plug it in is a good length to reach outlets and display from a bit of a distance. It hovers low but is easy to see that it's hovering and spinning from all angels. The tricky part is getting it to hover. The magnetic pull is incredibly powerful and grabs to the base quickly and with force until you get it just right. We decided to laugh and the challenge and not get frustrated with it, it's a bit startling each time as it happens really fast. I found cupping it in both hands and limiting the open surface at the bottom helped.
This thing was a little difficult to get it to levitate. Probably took me ten times and my boyfriend ten times and then my son he did it in about five times. It's pretty cool and it does light up different colors, and the shipping was fast and yeah, the packaging was great. It's just not something I would spend $84.99 but that's just my opinion. The instructions were a little vague as well. I'm not saying it's a bad item. I'm just saying it wasn't for me.
