This is a really interesting thing at to display my orchids!

I have had two orchids in upside down pots for over a year and a half. Both were potted when finished with their flowering phase and hung outdoors for filtered sunlight. Each winter, I bring them in due to low temperature outside. This seems to be their season to bloom! I've had 2 winters of success where my upside down orchids produce flower spikes and bloom! One of the orchids made a baby keiki on it when I put it out in the spring. Otherwise, they're both doing great and I'm watching for more flower buds to open!I highly recommend for an experiment... but I have learned the best way to know when to water is to feel the bottom of the pot where the orchid comes out of the mesh. If the medium is dry, it is safe ro fill the reservoir again with water. The water comes out quicker than expected, but with this set up, I only have to water these orchids 1-2 times a month and they're happy.

Perfect for my hanging plants

The first one arrived damaged but it was replaced easily. They are perfect for my huperzias and make it look interesting. I love the visible water level indicators too.

Too small to plant even a small orchid in, plus no instructions

So I was clueless how to even get a plant inside. Regret buying and too much of a hassle to return.

Awesome way to display a plant

I received one of these for a gift and my plant loves it so much that I ordered another 2 pk for other plants. It looks great and Easy to water and know when it needs more water. It is great for orchids and I know have a sharing plant in it.

Cute idea but not ideal for plants

I was so excited to get these and they looked great in my house. The issue is being upside down all the water concentrates at the top of the root system and bottom of the plant. Both plants I put in there rotted and I am trying to save them by chopping and propping (both Hoyas). I’ll try again with maybe an orchid and orchid bark or a more moisture loving plant but I’m worried I’ll have the same issue.

Creative

First, you need to have a very small plant or start with seeds, creative way to save space in kitchen window. Not impressed, but again found it creative

I’ll have to start from the beginning with this one - I have technically ordered 4 pairs of this item - 2 the first time & 2 the second. The first time, they were sent separately for some reason, and the second package was lost. Amazon only gave me the option to be refunded, and make another order- which I initially refused out of annoyance. The pair I did receive was simply packaged, no instructions or details included. Came with the mud mesh, lock, and metal hanging wire as advertised (two different lengths). I decided these worked well enough and I liked the aesthetic - so I purchased 2 more. Both were delivered so that was great, all with the exact length hanging wire which was highly annoying, and I excitedly planted my herbs into the planter nonetheless! Imagine my disappointment when 2 of those planters held NO water in the reservoir, flooding the soil until it was empty, dripping said water everywhere. Don’t get me wrong, the other planters do seem to move through the water quickly, but without killing the plant inside! Is this a quality issue?

My orquídeas died

I bought a set of two small pots. We set everything up as the instructions. One water stick was missing. I filled up until the stick was sticking up.After a week my plants were showing signs of water damage :(

What's the green thing for?

Purchased to hang some plants upside down in my greenhouse. Love the set up. Good quality material. But what's the green thing for?

Missing pieces

One flower pot was missing the green water level indicator that's supposed to pop up. I checked it too late and it was past the return period. I saw the same issue on other reviews too, I should have known better! It might be worth the risk but just make sure you inspect it thoroughly before the return period is closed :-/

Pay for two, get one… what a deal

One of the two is broken (the water level indicator is broken off inside), and the second one is missing all 4 screws that hold the top on… soooo I can combine the pieces of both to have a single functional item… not what I expected. Save your money and go for a different brand.

Nice but really small!

I wanted to buy these for months and I finally got them!My first impression was that they're really nice and well made, but but but don't be fooled by the image! The pots are really small, and it's hard, if not impossible, to fit an orchid inside. Also, and maybe this is its greatest flaw, the holes on the top through which you water the plant are minuscule. When you pour the water, you have to do it almost drop by drop or you'll get water all over the place. The holes are so small that if there's dirt or debris, it will get clogged and again, you will water your carpet, your couch, etc. if you pour more than a spoon (literally) at a time.Anyway, I think I got used to these small flaws and my rosemary looks amazing!

Small, cute, happy purchase!

I was running out of space for my collection of houseplants & orchids when I found these upside down planters. Decided to try them & I’m impressed!! They are small and plants sold in smaller pots (4”) fit nicely. I bought a second set because I liked them so much. Will be planting two of my mini orchids in them. There is no soil leaking out when I water but I’ve learned to use less water but more often. There is a water indicator at the top of the pot.

No Instructions - Aggravating

It would have been handy to have printed instructions with these. If I can’t figure them out, they are going back!

They look amazing

But, when I repot my plants, I will consider planting without soil.Because there are spillings from the pots, brown drops on my windowsole, which doesn't look nice and do stain if not removed.Apart from that it seems as if my Phalaenopis thriwes very well upside down :)

Something to consider about roots...they tend to grow down.

Product meets description as advertised. For those who might be having issues with watering or plant health, you might consider keeping your newly transplanted plants right side up for a month or so. This would allow the root ball to grow down around the ceramic brick and grab hold of it. Then, when you hang, it should be better equipped to draw moisture for the long term.

More to love:
