Elegant path down memory lane!

I won't get into the ongoing rhetoric about which is better; CD or vinyl. I am old enough to own media in both categories. The "45" single was an economic way for folks to just get the one song that they liked instead of having to purchase the artist's entire album. But for some reason (probably radio station equipment of the day), the 45 had a 1 1/2" spindle hole instead of the 1/4" one all the other records used. Ergo one needed to use an adapter - usually in the form of a little plastic clip that had to be carefully fitted by tension into the hole. The Musitrend adapter fits over the standard spindle and makes a perfect fit for the 45 without the tedious clip adapter gymnastics. The good: Looks very sharp. It is very finely machined and anodized to a beautiful black finish. It's not super-heavy, but it is weighty - giving a solid, secure feel that your prized 45 will stay in place on contemporary equipment. The bad: None I can think of.Bottom line: Inexpensive ticket to memory lane. No tedious fidgeting - just drop it over the spindle, plop your favorite 45 on the turntable and do your best Wolf-man Jack impression while the music is cuing up....

Solid 45 rpm record adapter with a nice smooth finish.

This 45 rpm record adapter fits well and has a nice weight to it. I don't care for the plastic adapters that have been around for years and I won't use them. I tried this adapter on two different turntables and it fits perfectly on both of them. You won't have to worry about this one getting warped or broken, it will last a lifetime.

Not the Snuggest Fit but Does the Job When Needed

Nice to finally have a replacement for my 45rpm spindle. I was glad to find it in “black” too. But the finishing process is a little rough and silver aluminum is visible. Not really noticeable at arms length, but i see it. It doesn’t fit super snug against the vinyl but i haven’t noticed that it affects usage.

Review was for an inexpensive 45 adapter not a record player.

Company did a bait and switch. They removed the listing for the 45 adapter and replaced it with an expensive record player making it seem like it has high review scores. Buyer beware.

Good 45 Single Adapter

This is a good 45 single adapter that works fine. It is crafted out of metal so it has a nice weight compared to plastic adapters. My. Only issue with the adapter is the finishing which is not as smooth and uniform as I had hoped. It is scratched and somewhat rough and not as sleek and clean looking as it appears in the listing. Apart from this aesthetic shortcoming, it functions as it should, fits the turntable spindle, holds the single in place, and is durable.

Solid Adapter, Rough Finish

The media could not be loaded.

I recently acquired this 45 RPM Adapter for my turntable, hoping to upgrade to a durable aluminum piece. While the adapter is indeed solid and feels well-made, the surface finish leaves much to be desired. It’s clear that the aluminum wasn’t machined smoothly, as both the front and back surfaces are quite rugged.I’ll definitely be extra careful when handling my vinyl to ensure they don’t come into accidental contact with the adapter, as I wouldn’t want them to get damaged. Despite this drawback, the adapter does its job effectively, and if you’re willing to overlook the rough finish, it’s a decent addition to your turntable accessories.

Terrible sound

Looks beautiful but the sound is laughable. Took it back the same day. If you care about sound forget it. If you simply want to connect to a speaker system ok, it looks and spins great

Dissapointed

Terrible. Sounds distorted standing up, would sound better when layed flat but its not designed for that. Terrible sound quality from speakers. Do not buy, it was for my wife's birthday and I am very very dissapointed that I have to return her present. The design is awesome and it looks great. If only it worked.

Terrible Audio

Very poor audio quality. It is very cheap though so I am giving it a star back.

Nicely Machined aliminum

I don't care for the flimsy, worst-plastic-we-could-possibly-find cheap little 45 RPM adapters that come included with turntables. They have no substance, can disappear with a slight breeze and there's never a dedicated holder for them. This is easier to find, harder to lose, feels great in the hand and is perfectly sized.

OK

This 45 adapter is okay but not much better. It's rather taller than an average adapter and maybe not quite as big around as it needs. It's heavy (which really isn't necessary) and has an unfinished brushed look about it when isn't really that attractive.

Very nicely made - and heavy!

My Fluance turntable came with a small plastic adapter which worked fine but it didn’t have the same quality feel as the rest of my setup. This replacement is very well made out of black machined aluminum. An excellent addition to my setup.

Hard to Find

With the resurgence of vinyl, there are plenty of record players on the market. Not all of them come equipped with a built-in adapter for play 45 RPM records with the bigger hole in the center. Or they may have them as a separate, detachable adapter which can easily be lost. I like the strong metal construction...or it certainly feels like metal. Very solid.

Works but rough

This works as intended, but the inner hole has some rough edges on it. This seems like it wasn't sanded down well, so quality control may not be perfect. It still works as intended though.

Good price, decent weight

I still like my yellow Third Man Records one with the 3 men logo... But that's plastic, this is metal, or at least metal coated plastic (not sure), that has weight to it. That's better. Not to mention you can put it on top of your 12" records to get them to play better as well, if they are a little warped. Haven't tried it with this one, but it works decently well with as plastic one so this, with more weight, should theoretically be better. It's got a nice feeling in the hand and the price is right. I have the plastic one my turntable came with, one from Third Man Records and now this one. I kind of want one more colored one and then I'll be good. Kind of like how I have the Tesla Coil felt slip mat from TMR, but so want another one to switch out from time to time. It just depends on the record, ya' know?

It fits, it works, that's all you need!

This adaptor is not fancy, but it's the correct size and that's all that really counts. It's not a $20-50 adaptor. If you want to spend that kind of $$ to fill a hole on your turntable, go right on ahead. This adaptor is solid and weighty. It's almost 1/2" thick. You can sit it on your table either way. One way has the "well" you see in the pictures. But it doesn't matter what way you put it on. The enamel/paint on the outside is not shiny/glossy . But if you want it to look like you spent $30+, just get some nice polish and buff it. Then you'll have a nice pretty hole-filler! It shouldn't need to be said, but gosh golly, YES! It "fits" all standard turntables. From the vinyl eating Crosleys, to the nice Audio Technica, to your fanciest Technics and Rega - it's a 45rpm/7" single adaptor - and they all do the same thing. Fill that big hole, so it fits your spindle. Will it last? It's a machined piece of aluminum, so I would put a pretty good bet on it lasting a really long time. Unless, of course, you decide to re-machine it or melt it down!

Fits the turntable and the 45s well

Worth the price. Fits well, and easy to get the 45 on and off.

This 45 lp adapter works just fine. It is worth the asking price in my opinion.
